You can try helium. That backs up most apps. Contacts can depend...if using a Samsung product, you can use Kies, if you stored your contacts to Google, then it doesn't matter.

Super Backup does it all and is free best of all. SMS, Conversation, call log, app. Only photos doesn't. But use a sd card for that.
