backlight problem!

hi,

from some days my phone wan't wake up and after some times it work again and i face this problem many times during the week
today i actually looking into the screen while the screen out and i found everything is working but without light! the light doesn't come back even after reboot

my phone working on android 4.3, not rooted with unlocked bootloader.

That's an interesting issue. It's probably a defective screen, but the issue could also be 4.3. Did you have this issue on 4.2.2? when did it begin? Have you tried a factory reset?

this issue is only on 4.3 on 4.2.2 it was working good

i didn't try the factory reset yet i will try it today.

Then it's probably 4.3 (which has had a lot of issues). Definitely try the factory reset

Then you are going to have to call tech support. I'm pretty sure (on stock and not rooted at least) that you can't roll back an android version. I know you can on a custom ROM but that's a different story.

Did you have any sort of battery-saving app installed?

If so, which one?

When the phone is powered on, can you see anything at all on the screen? If so, can you manage to get to Settings -> Display -> Brightness to try changing it?

even with 4.2.2 there is nothing happen!

if there is any rom that will help me i didn't mind to use it.

I don't know a ton of roms for the nexus 4, but possibly cyabogenmod?

Did you ever fix this issue?
I have the same issue but it happened after I dropped my phone. Everything works but the screen won't turn on. Is there an easy fix? Do you now if I need a new screen or a new digitizer?
