idk why, i set it to 480-764 mhz and later on the day it will be back to 243-600

i been setting using smartassv2 so now i will try using on demand

also im gonna try checking "set cpu settings on boot" or w/e, but it changes even if i dont restart the phone.

Speaking of which...

2. how often should android users reboot their phones?

thanks

If you don't check that box, it reverts back to the original cpu speed;) Check it and you'll never have another problem with it doing that.

As for the second question, I reboot mine every 1-2 days. I just like to clear all the memory out.

Smartphones are like computers they only need rebooting when something is going wrong. There was a user on the SGS4G forums that claimed to have not restarted/rebooted his phone for something like 8 days. I would have to dig up the screenshot of the battery up time and the uptime he had posted from within some app that showed how long since last reboot.

If you dont check the set on boot option it will revert itself. I think it is a fail safe to avoid OC issues. Just know this if you start getting reboots and possibly boot loops from overclocking too high the only way to fix is restore/reflash. make sure you have a current nanadroid before setting that option.

Make sure you don't have a side app, such as setcpu. And have Set on Boot checked.
