Backup and restore to a new Gear S3 from an old one.

Hi all,

New here and just wondering if anyone has found a way to synchronise 2 Samsung gear watches to the same profile/settings/configuration.

I've tried to back up one and restore the backup to another using the Gear app, but the new watch is identified as a different device and previous backups aren't available.

It would be nice if we could use something like Smart Switch to copy everything from one device to another.

Surely there must be a way, as from a support perspective, if a customer ever needed to replace one, they would not want to have to re-configure from scratch and re-buy all previous apps and watch faces again.

My experience switching between various GS3 Frontier and Classic watches was that gear manager backups only restored samsung watch faces, S health configurations for workouts and samsung apps I installed. I still had to set up my widgets from scratch each time and reinstall third party apps and watch faces.

I can't figure out how to even do that.
How did you get a backup from one watch to restore to another?
If I backup my Frontier, the backup no longer shows up when I connect my Classic.
If I could at least backup watch faces and Samsung apps that would be a good start so I don't have to re-purchase, re-download and re-install all of them each time I change watches.
