Backup Assistant

Purchased my new Razr Maxx HD on the release date... and love it!!!

..but I am having an issue... this crazy Backup Assistant Plus. On my third day of owning the phone, the Backup Assistant launched at 0513 in the morning and is hanging up and trying to run all day long. Needless to say the steller battery I was excited about on day one and two, was almost dead by mid-day on day three. I played around with the phone and managed to cancel the Backup Assistan mid-afternoon, but I woke up this morning to find it running yet again. This time I have been unable to cancel it, so decided to see if anyone had suggestions on 1.) canceling the Backup Assistant when running and 2.) possibly disabling it all together (pros and cons of this greatly appreciated).

Have you gone into "accounts & sync" and turned off the backup assistant plus data & contacts synchronization?

My advice - go into Apps, then ALL, scroll down to Sync Service, and disable that puppy. That will stop it from constantly running.
