I can't help it, but when a New Update is released, I just have to download it! Lollipop for Verizon is just around the corner!
When Verizon has their OTA release of Lollipop, I will plan on doing a factory reset! (Even though I don't want to!). I've tried KIES with No success!
I would like to know how to backup everything I can!
With the KitKat download I did OK but I lost most of "Scrapbook". Anyway to backup that?
(I have not found a way.)
Suggestions Please ! (Rukbat?, Madd54?)

Yeh, we're in the same boat.
I'm right behind you.

Well, I read Clevin say first install the update, then update all apps, THEN factory reset, then reboot twice more (maybe a cache clearance as well).

Scrapbook will sync to Samsung, but I see you can select all files and Share as SCC files, choose with data, and share as well to Dropbox or another, to be safe.
Dropbox saved some files last time, but I didn't set it to do anything.

S-Notes - likewise, but I also found an S-Notes pc program to sync to, and now I have files doubled on my Note 3.

Dog5000's My Backup Pro may be worth £3.19 / $5.
Rukbat's App Backup and Restore only uses an sd card I think, and I don't have one.

I will stick with SMS Backup+, rather than SMS Backup and Restore, for SMS and call logs.

I will drag media and docs to a pc.

What else?

I went through the entire Note 3 "Pictures, Let's See them" Sticky last night from before I joined, so I now know why you have that name. Nice motors and hobby!

Backup everything FIRST! BEFORE taking the update. Your update might be heady now, I manually checked yesterday and it was there! But after the update my phone (Note 4) would continuously reboot. I couldn't back up anything. I HAD to factory reset my phone. My most important stuff was backed up but still, I absolutely HATE factory resetting my phone! And most of the apps that had 'backup' options didn't work, told me 'backup unsuccessful' etc, always had this issue with Samsung devices. But the important stuff is always on my SD card. So, like I said, backup what you can, at LEAST copy what you can onto your SD card (which should always be the case, in case your phone dies or you have to do what I had to), before accepting the update. I LIKE the Lollipop, just wish I would have known ahead of time that I would have the issue I had so I could have at least took screenshots of my configuration so I could remember how I had everything. By the way, in case you don't realize, if you DO screenshots, move them to your SD card as they go into device memory by default, why I don't know.

Yes, thanks. We know we have to back up prior. Just saying to factory reset after the update. A lot of us learned the hard way last year what saves and what doesn't. Which is why I doubt one backup app can do it all, if Android / Google can't.

Thank you Madd54 for your reply! I will try the things you suggest as well as keep searching the forum for answers!
As far as my hobby goes, I'm not sure what pictures you saw but here are my current hot rods!

Yes. I think I will end up doing it like last time. I should just note all my log in passwords for apps, and though it will be a trudge, I am probably good to go. I don't have a lot to worry about losing.

If I think of anything else...

Yes it was a version of pics 1 and 3. It was possibly the license plate that gave it away.
I knew you had a previous username of some sort when I had to browse the site forum for account help last year and you had a thread.
