I am looking for a backup utility that can completely backup both the internal SD and external SD cards
Backup destination should include both local PC and/or Goggle Drive.

Switched to Android (Samsung 9 Plus with external 128GB sd_card) a few months back from Apple.
One BIG motivation for switching was the granular options to backup and restore.
Been exploring various programs to backup everything on the device to a Win10 PC and Goggle Drive

Here is my experience and what I have tried thus far:
Airdroid
I tried AirDroid for backup and it initially backed photos only and is no longer recognizing subsequent photos added.

Google (Under Cloud and Accounts)
This appears limited to syncing App Data, Call History, Device Settings and SMS text messages.
-- This seems to cover everything EXCEPT Documents (photos, videos, etc...)

Samsung (Under Cloud and Accounts)
This app seems to backup up everything but does not appear to support local PC backup - only backup to Samsung Cloud
-- I filled up the Samsung Cloud and there is not option in my country (Canada) via Samsung to purchase more capacity that I can find. No option to change storage plan that I can see.

MyBackup (Rerware):
Does not appear to backup documents, just App Data, Call History, Device Settings and SMS text messages.

Any suggestions on a comprehensive backup program would be appreciated - thanks in advance!

I use a combination of different apps.

Google photos for photos and videos.

FolderSync Pro for files, documents, etc. It allows scheduling and backup to Google drive, Onedrive, or to the sd card.

Sms Backup+ to backup text messages to gmail. Allows me to search gmail for old text messages.

Samsung backup for settings, call logs, and sms. Allows me to restore directly to my S9+ or to my regular S9.

Thanks for the replies. I used Smart Switch to move from my old iPhone to the S9+ and it worked well for that.
@cajun456: I have been using a similar approach thus far, different apps to backup different things.

Google photos for photos and videos.
--> I use Amazon Prime for photos (not videos).
The device does not distinguish between videos I add to the device and those captured by the camera, therefore I quickly blew past the caps on Amazon and Samsung Clouds.

FolderSync Pro for files, documents, etc. It allows scheduling and backup to Google drive, Onedrive, or to the sd card.
--> I will try this out - thanks

Sms Backup+ to backup text messages to gmail. Allows me to search gmail for old text messages.
--> I have been using SMS BAckup and Restore - sounds pretty similar

Samsung backup for settings, call logs, and sms. Allows me to restore directly to my S9+ or to my regular S9.
--> Yup, I do this too, Everyday I get the message that the Samsung cloud is full. Everytime I go into settings and turn off 'Document' it keeps coming back with 'Documents' set to on. Docs have not been backed up in months.
Where do photos get backed in Samsung? Are they considered 'Documents?'
