With no more updates on the galaxy s7 is it still safe to do banking and online purchases on the galaxy s7 using banking apps and the Amazon app?

I'd be little concern but don't have the phone automatically remember password or usernames and keep 2 step authentication on .

IMO, you should not have any issues using the s7 for banking as long as you practice safe usage. However, the banks may have some say as to using the phone May want to read their terms of use regarding browsers and operating systems.
