battery and usb problem?

So i had my nexus for a good week now and this problem never came up today. i charged my phone overnight and when i woke up and unplugged it the battery still had its charging symbol. i didn't think it was that much of a problem but when my batter was nearing 15% it started the notification telling me to charge my phone but it would go away and the battery would have its charging symbol again. it would disappear every few seconds sending me the notification every few seconds. i tried everything from rebooting my phone, taking out the battery, and even using up all the battery so it's completely drained. does anyone have a solution for this? also now after i remove my usb my phone still says it's connected and it still says it's charging.

Happened to me. Call tech support and tell them everything you did. They should put a notation on your account so you can trade it in free of charge.
