Hi! Been looking at juice defender ultimate & wondering if it will help battery life that much over user the power saving that comes with phone? Anyone using it?

Also. Speed/ memory booster any any apps worth using? I been clearing cache. Not sure what else?

And last - task manager comes with phone. Is there any task killer or task manager app worth using?

Thx!

None of those will really boost your battery all that much. The 3 battery killers are (in order) LTE radio, screen and wifi. If you don't have 4g in your area and you're not using wifi that's pretty much as good as the battery gets. All juice defender really does is automates shutting off various radios in your phone when the screen is off. This phone also has it's own memory management system that is both automatic and can be operated manually.

Basically my advice is to shut off the wifi if you don't have LTE service in your area and be mindful of how often you turn the screen on (texting/calls not withstanding).

I use Juice Defender on my Stratosphere and according to its stats it just about doubles my battery life. I bought JD Ultimate for my old phone which could barely make it 4 hours after the year and a half I had it, with the screen off. It's useful, because not only will it disable 4G when the screen is off but all other data services too (except basic MMS). You can set up the triggers to suit your desires while maximizing battery life. Personally, I always have data disabled (even when screen is on) and I only have it turn on data when running specific apps, and every half hour.

The phone's built-in power saving stuff is comparatively useless. And this is even living in a 4G area like I do. I have it turn on data every half hour which is often enough for me, and it pulls all my emails and facebooks at that time. These phones should really have this kind of functionality built in.

I got an extended battery for mine since they are 50% off at Verizon right now ($25), and it pretty much made my phone last all weekend off the charger.

It was 100% when I left work Friday, about 30% on Saturday night, put in the charger for about 2 hours while in the car, and it stayed on until I got back to work this morning. And I used it to talk, text, web surf, and stream music over bluetooth.
