Battery burned screen?

I'm not 100% sure this is the cause, but I can't think of anything else. When I go to the Google search screen or any white screen, I can see a slight brown circle in the middle of my screen. The only thing I can think of, is that the battery is getting so hot, that it's burning the screen. (Something like how the battery on the white iphones would do to the backs.) But can the battery do that to a screen? I did apply a Zagg screen protector with solution, but the brown circle is to prefect for it to come from that. So what are your thoughts on this? Also, does anyone else have this problem?

The first or second day after the phone came out. I paid $30 for the full screen protector, so it's going to hurt taking it off, but I have to find out what it is. I want to find out if this could possibly be a problem with a small batch of phones. A member on another site replied to my thread and said that he has a small circle on his screen also.

Well no mark on mine. I am done with the zagg style protectors after my phantom skinz brand one sucked so badly. was peeling up in a week. maybe go to where you had it installed and have them investigate.

I have the exact same issue. I have this circular smudge that is dark on light gray backgrounds like the drop down notification window and bluish color on bright white backgrounds. I can't see it on dark backgrounds. I thought it was a smudge on top of the screen but it is the LCD itself.

I already called tech support 2 weeks ago and got my new replacement today. That one has a big dust speck under the screen which I will be returning again.

So I have atleast 2 people confirm that a small circle seems to burned into their screens. Sounds like it's time for me to call for a replacement.

Just curious...what wallpaper do you have installed...? Could it be the factory droid eye wallpaper burned in..?...just an idea..

I don't think it could be, I changed it from that wallpaper the first day I got the phone. I have another factory wallpaper installed and it doesn't have a circle on it. Also, this circle is bigger than the Droid eye.

Mine is not big as the Droid eye. Also, it is only noticeable on bright or light color backgrounds. My wife and friends didn't notice it when I ask them if they see anything wrong with the screen. But once you point it out or notice it, you can't keep your eyes off it.

I would definitely get an exchange like I did with mine.

Hadn't considered screen burn in potential for the LCD screen until now....makes sense though !!
YIKES !!

I wouldn't worry about it, its pretty rare. Maybe it isn't a burn but alien farm croppings on your phone?
