Okay so lately I've been thinking about getting a battery case or some kind of backup charger for my phone. Whenever I use Google Maps with I get to work my battery slaughtered even with the turbocharger I don't want to carry a charger around with me especially at work I was googling it and on Amazon they have by king mansion a 4200 mAh battery pack with kickstand for the Nexus 6 for $20. I was thinking of a car charger for the car but I'm not sure if that would answer my prayers either ... I don't want to booking battery case this one seems pretty thin what do you guys think about it? Thanks for any input appreciated.

Im still researching battery packs online because some of them have really bad reviews. I need a cord for Google Maps and because I'm a power user and I'd rather not worried about the charger all of the time.

Personally I've always had better luck with battery pack style chargers than cases...

I used to use one of them myself, but it. So annoying when I had to carry more stuff with me and then my phone physically plugged into something and I couldn't use it it was just annoying. Most of the time I don't have a problem with the battery but when I use Google Maps it kills my battery just like anyone else does. And I'm not so sure a car charger is the best solution. Still trying to figure this one out.

Less annoying than the bulk!

Trust me even though it doesn't seem like it, not by much. You want to carry a separate battery pack with you at all times you can actually use the phone vs just keeping it plugged in into a wire all the time especially in public.

IMO I would...a separate battery pack can be kept in a bag / desk drawer / console or glove compartment in a car...

Swapping out a case each time I needed more battery or just having all that added bulk especially with a bigger phone to begin with lol...not my style lol

I'm also thinking if the insane amount of battery and not always having to worry about that all of the time.

See now, interesting idea, when I have my 2nd gen moto X, I had a power pack for the 2nd gen Moto X and it was ok but I didn't want to carry it around with me that already that's the problem with it.

i got one for my wife, since she puts her keys in her purse, it's a non-issue. I took it yesterday when I was going to be out all day and thought battery might be an issue. It was a little clunky in the pocket. I might still get one and leave it in my backpack, but only put it on the keychain when I know I'll need it on my person.

Another bonus with the micropack, you can hold the button on the micropack and it will make your phone ring in case you can't find your phone. And in turn, if you open the Moto Connect app, you can Ping the micro pack and it will beep if you can't find your keys

I gotcha. Still trying to decide what I will do but for now I'll just deal with it. I uninstalled the latest version of Google Maps and reverted back to the older previous version... Maybe the newest version also has something to do with excessive battery drain other than just a GPS being kicked in. Who knows. I'll do a test next time I run Google Maps of course lol.

Have you looked into the airdock 2 for your car? That might be an easy way to keep the phone charged while you're driving and using google maps.

To be honest with you I don't even know what it is lol. I will look into it now and see what it is thank you.

Ah okay yeah doesn't seem like a lot of people know about it, but it's a wireless car dock so instead of having to plug the phone in when you get in your car you can just put it on the dock and it'll charge as well as provide an easier place to keep your phone while driving, if you do end up trying it make sure to go with the nexus 6 specific dock
