Battery Charging time

[AC Question]

My SAMSUNG S2 9.7 takes more than 12 hrs. Why is that ? How to improve the time ?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you charging from a wall outlet or a computer USB port? Have you tried different charging cables/plugs? Does the battery also run down unusually quickly?

Sounds like a bug with the Nougat update.

I have had the same issue with mine since the update.

Try a Samsung Fast Charger, I use one & it works great. Tablet does not have the fast charge ability though.
Don't charge via usb connected to computer.
If no Samsung Fast Charger [ sold on Amazon but beware knockoffs ] try to use a wall plug in charger that has minimum 5VDC with 2.1 Amps output.

I have had no problems with mine.
As others have noted, use a Good Quality charger.

I've been having the same problem with my Tab S2 for the past several weeks (still on Marshmallow). I'm using the Samsung fast wall charger too. Fortunately the battery seems to still last a long time and I can get a decent charge over night - just not normally quite to 100%.

BTW, I just installed the Nougat update on my Tab S2 this morning. I'll find out later today if this has any affect on my battery charging times.

I have the S2 SM-T713 8.0. i just ran my s2 battery down to 15%.

I plugged in charger. I went to Settings|Device Maintenance|Battery and it shows estimated time to recharge is 2 hours 40 minutes. I will check back in that time to see if it is fully charged or not. Is that considered fast or slow?

Usually i charge when i go to bed and never bothered tio check out actual charging times.

EDIT: It took over 3 hours from 15%. However, i was using it while on chaeger which slows down charging.
