I bought the 6x battery(love it)......been using the bigger door--hence doesn't fit well in cases...but i happened to check and the origianl door fits fine, albeit snug...
the question is..is there any harm that I am doing by having a snug fit door?

By adding pressure to the back of the screen because of the tight fit. (Kind of like what happens when you push on the screen of a flat panel computer display.) Think of it this way, I'm sure they put the new door in there for a reason, don't you? If you choose not to use it, you are doing so @ your own risk.

You could always just get a case that works with the extended battery door (like an Otterbox Commuter or something similar). Better to spend a few $ on a new case than more on a warranty claim because of a damaged screen.

I know some people who have just put their X in the case without the battery door on at all. It saves a little bit of space so it fits in the case easier. Just an idea.

the only reason i would suggest against this is dependent on the fitment of the extended battery. if the battery moves it will cause random phone reboots. if it fits snug then you won't have an issue i guess. the seidio slim extended battery does not fit properly and i was experiencing random reboots until i slipped the edge of a business card in between the top of the battery and the battery door.
