For one thing, you have your Exchange email app running constantly. It should be set to Push updates (the server wakes the app when there's email for it) or manual updates (it updates when you open the app), not constant polling, which kills the battery quickly.

For another, if you keep using the battery down to near 0% 2-3 times a day, you'll be replacing the battery every 4-6 months. Charge when it's down to no less than 40% (and let it charge to 100%). The battery doesn't care whether that's convenient for you or not. Constantly discharging a battery almost all the way will give you about 300 charges before the battery fails. Charging it at 40% should give you about 1200-1500 charges.

Then open whatever app you're using for your Exchange email, look in Settings for the refresh interval and set it to automatic or push or off. Fully charge the battery, then run it a few hours and see if Exchange Services is still using most of the power being used. (If it is, get rid of that app and get one that was written by someone who knows how to write apps. An email app should be one of the lowest power users in the phone that's not hibernated. [A hibernated app won't use any power unless you manually run it.])

N5 on 5.1 with exchange is a disaster...probably why it has not really rolled out...5.2 on N7 seems better. However if Android is going to make a play for corporate they need to get this straightened out - with push mail.
