Android Central Question
I have an LG G4, Android 6.0. In the past couple of months, it's been acting really funny. First, the phone only lasts about 6 -8 hours with limited to no use before the battery drains; far less if I'm actually using it. I'm anal about keeping all apps closed when not in use. I force close those that I know might continue to run in the background such as Waze. Second, when I restart the phone, I now get a message that says "optimizing app 1 of 1," and it can take up to 12 minutes to reboot (not exaggerating; I've timed it). It never takes less than about 6 minutes. I've tried a soft reset, but that did nothing. And while this may be completely unrelated, I noticed a download in my folder entitled "ES_8287_Black_Front_April2018". I have no idea what it is and couldn't find anything about it on Google. Is it possible that my battery is simply dying (it's probably 3-4 years old), or is there something more that you can suggest? I would have already bought one, but can't image that will help with the reboot issue. Any insight is appreciated.
