You don't need to pay to get an RMA?
You "kind of" have to pay. They charge your card (or at least get authorization for the charge) for the $350, and remove the charge after they get the defective unit back from you. Some don't like this process, but I think it's more than fair...they send you a new unit without you having to send your bad one in first, so that you are never without a phone. If they didn't secure payment first, I'm sure many would never mail the other phone back to them. It might be a bit of a hassle, but most companies make you mail a broken item in before they repair/replace it (like with a stereo/vacuum cleaner/hard drive/remote control/etc...).
