Battery drain with Mobile data because of GPSD

I need help!
My Galaxy S4 regularly lasts for more than 20 hours with a full charge and regular use, internet, email, text messages, calls etc.

Since about 1 month ago battery time dropped to about 5 hours. After trying everything, including cache and factory resets, nothing solved the problem.

After trying everything, I found out that when the phone is turned on without mobile data and only with Wi-Fi for internet the phones lasts the regular 20 hours, but as soon as I turn on Mobile data a Wakelock is activated called GPSD that keeps the phone awake all the time and starts draining the battery like crazy. So far the only thing I can do is keep Mobile data off, but I now only have internet when I have Wi-Fi, it drives me crazy and is really annoying. Any idea what else I can do to identify the issue, hopefully without having to root the phone.

If your gps is on turn it off and see if it helps. If I'm not mistaken that is a program that connects your gps to other apps.

Also use power saving mode in location settings.

Hey Im having the same issue, with my galaxy S4 that gpsd is killing my batttery, But I ask at a store here in venezuela, where they told that what have to be done is to erase the operative system and reinstall it, not the factory reset is not the same, aparently the problem is that some aplication make an option on inside the system operative that makes the gpsd search for signal, something like that is what they told me, so by erasyng the whole Operative System, and putting a new one, or the same one, but as it was before, the problem should be corrected.
Im going to give it on monday to fix it. Hope it works ill have you informed
