Battery drain

Battery drain has been terrible on this phone. Tried to fix by just getting a massive battery, but even that can barely make it through the day. Is it time to just factory reset and start over? I have Verizon so running 5.0.1. It always shows Android System and Android OS as the biggest battery hogs.

Mine gets me thru the entire day. I wish it was longer but its a mini computer. Does last longer than my previous Notes 2 and 3. My issues are the freezing up and lagging.

5.1.1 has fix all that for me works like a new phone, easily 6 hrs on screen and a full day of use also running Nova launcher and lowering animation to. 5 in developers settings helps.
Also running snapdragon guru app and it does work from what I can see.

Unfortunately Verizon hasn't released the 5.1

I am on sprint and after the update battery life is much better, I have noticed that if there are updates it will run the battery down fast in the middle of the night.
