Battery drain

I've been so happy with Nougat! My battery life became so much better with it. Then all the sudden last week it would drain faster, but not horribly. Then yesterday I had a software update and it's draining crazy fast! Woke up at 100% and drove my husband to work - get home 30 minutes later (not using phone at all) and it's at 84%?! (now at 81 after opening tapatalk and typing this).
Any thoughts? I know I can't check individual app usage anymore, but something is causing this.

As you just saw an update, clearing the system cache may help clear out the cobwebs and get your battery back. Don't let it drain completely.

Ok thanks! I actually did factory reset after nougat and it was magical. I hope I don't have to go there again

Not a dumb question Was going to post instructions but got tied up elsewhere. See below, its not a setting but a process.

Thanks! I tried, it didn't do anything. I ended up with a factory reset, which took all afternoon and... Did nothing. Maybe my battery is just dieing?
