I have a brand new LG V10 here, and think it's amazing so far, but when i use it while it's charging, the battery either doesn't charge, or depletes slowly. I'm using the given charger and USB. Please help.

My battery sucks. Some days it will be fine and other days it seems to drain for no reason in 3 hours. It's so bad I keep a backup phone with me just in case it dies during the day.

And I'd guess an extra battery would be a whole lot cheaper to buy than a second phone.

Well I already had a 2nd phone so buying an extra batter would cost more money.
I understand having a backup phone for those "just in case" times. I keep one myself. But that also means keeping two phones updated; OS, apps, etc. If it's just a matter of battery power, it's so much easier to swap a battery, even for a few extra bucks. But that's your choice. Or you could get an extended battery. They're available, but also at additional cost. If you're not going to keep your V10, it won't make a difference.

there was a recent update to google play services that has wreaked havoc on my V10 and many apps. battery life has been terrible since. Battery is draining like crazy now with "Android OS" as the top battery consumer when phone is just sitting idle..
My phone has lost 14% batter in last 3 hours basically sitting idle the entire time with nothing running.
