Battery dropping to 96% immediately upon taking off charge

Just got this phone. Overall quite happy with it but just noticed something thats bugged me. I put it on charge for the first time since purchasing it. The green light was on indicating that its fully charged. However upon removing it from the charger the battery immediately dropped to 96%. Anybody else noticed this and is there a fix for it?

I noticed some of my other phones indicate a full charge above 90%. Did the battery say 100% before you unplugged it?

to be honest I dont know because it was switched off. I just saw the green light showing so assumed it was fully charged so I took it out of the charger and switched it on.

I think a full boot can drop the battery by 2% at least.

I can confirm that the Sony Xperia LED status goes Green as soon as the charge crosses 90% battery - So you may have unplugged the phone around the 95-99% mark. I can also confirm that it takes nearly 10-15 minutes on a 1A charger for the display to change from 99 to 100%. Hope this was helpful
