I'm not sure how to solve my battery issue. I can charge it all night, take it off the charger with 100%, and by the time I get to work and check it, which is about 1.5 hrs later, it is down to 15% with NO usage. Within the next couple hours it is down to 10%. I keep the screen low, no apps are running. When I look at the battery usage, the top usage is the Android System with 23%, then screen, then Android OS, Google Services... I can't imagine this is normal, it is now down to 10% with 3 hours off the charger.

Phone is almost a year old, bought from AT&T store. Anyone know what to do to fix it?

Welcome to the forums.
The battery may be bad. I would try replacing that first.

It's not the battery that's bad unfortunately its the phone that sucks on battery level. I love this phone but the battery drainage I hate & sometimes it gets extremely hot too... what u can do is try "Juice defender" download it from the playstore, it helps a lot.

Please don't speak for the OP - you don't know WHAT that person's issue is. Let's hear back from the OP and then any further assessment can take place.

I am inclined to agree with GSDer. A 90% drain in less than 4 hours is excessive.

DanielleG88,
Any attempt to diagnose battery life issues usually starts with the following:
- capture these three screenshots from Settings -> Battery

atuteseh.jpg

- be sure the data starts with the phone fully charged
- try to let the battery get depleted to less than 30% (shouldn't be a problem in your case) :)
- don't charge the phone between the full state and whenever you decide to capture the data

You might find it helpful to install Wakelock Detector: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector - this will help to identify any apps that are keeping the phone awake unnecessarily.

This GSam Battery Monitor Pro: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm.pro (there's also a free version) can also be useful, particularly the Radio Detail information

I had this same problem with my android phone...battery while charging used to stuck at different levels and when i unplugged the charger it at once dropped to low level. The problem is with the battery stats. It is showing the battery charge level wrong.
Solution: Use all the charge in the mobile till it is dead. Put on the the phone again to see if it is totally dead. when you are sure of it plug the phone into electricity with the phone off for 1 hour at least. Now turn on the phone it must be okay by then.
P.S I would also suggest that you use the charger that came with the phone rather charging it with a random charger because this matters too.
