I just got my evo today. Typing on it right now with everything full blast. Optic gps etc all on for the past hour and I'm at 95 percent battery full use. I did multiple fixes such as reset and plugin recharge trick and its a beast. Best phone ever. To all you guys whining about the battery, be up to the level of your 'smart phone' and learn how to use it!!! Love this thing.

I'm not having battery issues either but I don't think its fair to imply those people having problems are stupid, I think there is a legitimate issue with some EVOs.

Don't you think that one hour is a bit of a short time frame to start evaluating a brand new phones battery life?

Welcome to the forums!

This is why iPhone4's sold out in one day, and why my local Radioshack only had one preorder for the evo (that was from me).

Haha

While I would love to have the battery power of the Iphone 4... I'm fine with my Evo... I am able to use it pretty heavily.
... And I have classes at university, so I'm usually not gone for too long. Plus, I'm thinking about getting a spare OEM battery.

My radio shack said they sold over 10 preorders and I got there at like 11am. And my Evo and Pre lasted for about as long as my iPhone. The only thing the iPhone prevailed at is standby battery.

Interesting on how you think just because you're battery is great everyone else who is having problems is operator error. I've tried every single trick posted on here and I still lose 1% battery life the minute I use the internet or moderate text messaging. So tell me Einstein, how can I level up to my smart phone.

Exactly. Again I've followed everyone's tips here. I just had a full charge. Visited one webpage. In 20 minutes since being unplugged I lost 11% of my battery life. But I guess I am the stupid one....

For those who enjoy the simple, fixed world of the iPhone, that is great. But I prefer freedom of choice, and my EVO.

you are one of the people that was lucky enough to get a good phone and battery...i on the other hand have gotten the short end of the stick...i've done alot of the fixes out there and still it does not compete against what some people are claiming on here...I am on the verge of calling sprint and having them send me a replacement...when they get them in...or just trying one of the seidio batteries...but dont want to waste my time if it is something that has to do with the phone and not just the battery

Agreed. I went to Sprint yesterday. All they said was they changed my data roaming and installed Advanced Task Killer.
