Just received my custom Moto X today. Coming from a Droid Maxx, I knew I'd likely see a bit of a decrease in battery life but the tradeoff was worth it.

Anyone have any idea why the battery would do this?

Screen on time is like 30 mins and nothing else is showing significant % used. Thanks.

Are you concerned that the battery will die in 12 hrs? If so, just plug it in.. I recommend a Qualcomm certified quick charge 2.0 charger. Yeah, the battery life on the 2014 X isn't great. Not terrible, but nowhere near a Droid Maxx.

Not really concerned about the overall battery life but that vertical drop worries me...what could have caused that?

Did pick up a turbo charger too when I bought the phone.

I'm having the same issue I guess.. everytime I reboot my moto X the battery somehow is lower than it was before
And around 15% the phone just shutsdown with no baterry at all
You can see the graphics are pretty crazy
Any ideas ?

Others (myself included) have reported on this issue. I've also posted about this on Moto's support forum for the Moto X 2014. As best I can tell, there is simply a software bug that causes the remaining battery percentage calculation to display incorrectly. Hopefully this issue will be corrected in the pending 5.1 update.
