Battery issue?

My husband has a Tab 3 8.0 that is about 6 months old. The battery charges and drains in wild spikes... It will be at 30% and then suddenly charge to 80, for example. Here's a picture of the battery usage.

Any thoughts? Does he likely need a new battery?

I would like to see how android is reporting the battery. Go to settings>Battery and take either a screenshot or a photo like you did.

Forgot to mention. Take a photo of the list of apps and you can click on the graph and take a photo of that too please.

OK. I just wanted to confirm GSAM wasn't suffering a bug. Since the OS is kind of high, have you tried a cache clear in recovery? I am guessing you got an update to the OS recently?

No OS update recently as far as I know. Will try a cache clear tonight and see how that goes.
