Disable Google Plus! I have had it like this for a day now,and my battery life has increased 4-5 hours! Believe me or not I honestly don't care. Setting-Apps-All-Google Plus-Disable-???-PROFIT!

Don't mind it its just a standard warning and if there are any problems just enable it back.

Did you have the Android OS eating most of your battery or was yours screen? My screen is what is killing mine hard. Leaving it on for like 10 minutes kills 10% of the battery.

I honestly do not know. I don't care anymore though my battery now lasts 16 to 20! Its amazing, best phone ever hands down

I get 10 hours no problem with two emails syncing all the time. 40% screen use accordingly to the battery

how did you disable it, mine uninstalled. there was no disable option

nvm i removed the updates i guess time will tell!

Yea, this has actually been an ongoing thing across all Android devices with Google Plus install. Most have found that after they installed G+. their battery lasted shorted then their norm.

I've been getting great battery life while still using Google+. I did deny instant upload though and if you choose to upload all your pictures it will use a lot of memory and power uploading.

By the way, you can just disable background data instead of the entire app. First I set a ridiculous data cap (you must set a data limit before you can disable background data for an individual app). Then I check the box to disable background data for G+.

I'm assuming that if you dont have a G+ account then there would be nothing for it to sync to. So disabling it would make no difference. Unless G+ app has a software issue and its leaking mem/ram causing a battery drain, but i doubt that.

I use google+ way too much to get rid of it.

Yeah me too. I'll deal with it for now. I'm thinking its more of a problem with G+ than ICS. Google probably needs to tweak the code in the G+ app and it'll get better. But until then I think a good first step for us would be disabling background data for G+. I think the drain comes from all of the pictures that people in your circles post on G+ that are syncing in the background all the time. I don't think you'll get push notifications if you disable background data though.

I don't use it and don't see a way to disable it. When I go into settings and click on Google+ icon it asks me which account I'd like to use and I have it checked not to automatically upload. Would this be sufficent becasue I tried to follow the OPs Settings-Apps- All(and don't see this)

Go to setting then apps then all then find it and it has an option to disable it at the top right.

Gotcha- i was going in through through settings icon and clicking on the actual Google + icon. We'll see if it makes a difference although I've been very pleased so far with the battery life.
