Would rooting my phone have made my battery die faster? There's definitely something wrong with my battery, and I want to make sure that buying the Nexus 6p would inevitably fix the battery drain issue. I reboot my phone every few days. Thank you.

Rooting has absolutely nothing to do with battery life, unless the rooted app you're running uses a lot of battery. All root means is that a rooted app can run with root permissions - an unrooted app runs the same whether the phone is rooted or not.

Then what would cauzs horrible significant battery life then? The system is supposed to multitask very efficiently, I don't get it.

In the Google Search app is from my watch cuz I'm Googling a lot. But that's the point of it.

About normal, maybe just a tiny bit high usage, but if it's a new phone, it's nothing to worry about. (None if the apps shown use root, so rooting didn't change anything for the 31% of battery usage shown.)

No I know but number one the following is not here right now it's very much used and I'm only getting half a day of usage out of o my phone I don't get it.

Try to clear cache of Google Play services and google app. The same happened with my device many times.

So at first I thought my battery on my phone was fixed but now I realize it wasn't even the slight Improvement my battery still draining out. Yesterday my battery drain to 25% by 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon. I'm doing one more test with Nova Launcher today. If it doesn't work then went to have up enough cash, I am just going to buy the new Nexus 6p.
