Okay, so with owners of the Nexus 6p here running Android and beta software how is your battery life? Right now I have a Nexus 6 still on lollipop 5.1.1 and as many of you know the Nexus 6 is horrible on battery I have to charge my phone one to two times a day and I'm a power user. Can you get day's worth of battery power under normal to have usage without charging during the day on the Nexus 6p with Android n? Right now I know that Best Buy is having a sale on the Nexus 6p but I'm not ready to buy within the next week or so that's why I want to ask you first. I love the camera and the camera shortcut on the Nexus 6p vs on the Nexus 6 which sucks and is very laggy. Thanks for any help you guys can provide to me I appreciate it.

I have to say that my 6P lasts all day with heavy usage. My SOT is usually from 4 to 5 hours.
See, now, I've never understood the whole screen on time used usage..lol that being said the battery life on the Nexus 6 is crap. Like I said I have to charge it at least once or twice a day in the afternoon thank God it has turbo charging built-in but regardless I just can't rely on it especially if I don't have a battery intensive apps like Google Maps for GPS or any video movie it's toast. What about your experience so far on the Nexus 6p? Is my biggest the terms. That the fact that the camera is laggy crashes sometimes and the phone is just not smooth anymore. Thanks again for your input. I appreciate it. By the way from the looks of it on Android and, I love the fact of multiwindow mode and clear all button in native stock Android it's about time!

6P is smooth and fast, no lags so ever, I appreciate battery life and camera is spectacular (and had never crashed). I think that with the 6P you doesn't have to charge it as often as N6.
Tell me if you need my opinion in something specific.

Battery on N performs better than on M (probably due to better doze ?)
6P's battery is quite efficient for my usage( An hour of web browsing, hour of music, hour of communication, general fidgeting throughout the day :P ). It lasts around a day in this use-case with a screen on time of approx 4.5 hours.

Trust me so far I love what I'm hearing. Because like I said I text email just use apps on my phone music stream video burning my battery up within a few hours. How about when you use GPS Google Maps on your Nexus 6p with Android and? Do you need a car charger or can you get away with that one? Thank you.

My friend's nexus 6 lasts much lesser than my 6p on even lesser usage on the former.
Google maps is a leech on any device. I don't have the hard values, but I 'feel' it lasts much much longer than my previous galaxy S5.
Using Google Fit for an hour with location on combined with music takes out around 12 - 14% battery.

So I, if I am to understand you correctly your friends Nexus 6 last even less amount of time than my Nexus 6 lasts? I mean even with GPS using Google Maps in the car if I need a USB type-c car charger and the future every now and then that's fine but on average I'm not using Google Maps every single day and I still can't get through at least 5 to 6 hours straight without a charge. Unfortunately that's exactly what I'm saying. It's gotten very very frustrating / annoying and it's been pissing me off

I meant to say my friend's N6 lasts less than 'my' N6P on usage which is less taxing that what I do on my device.
Your experience should be better than the 5 - 6 hours that you're getting now.
Pardon my English. It's not my first language.

Oh no it's okay thank you so much for help like I said. I just want to know that on average even with moderate to heavy usage on the Nexus 6p with Android and then I'll be able to have to an entire day and I don't hear about charging it but I'm just getting through the day right now like I said I cannot even get through one day 8 hours without a charge on my Nexus 6. I'm running lollipop 5.1.1. As long as I can get through at least 10 to 12 hours or an entire day charge up at night time then I'll be happy I'm not saying Google Maps GPS just using the phone apps multitasking Exedra exedra. I mean it's awesome to see an Android and the clothes all the button and multi-screen window plus and enhanced multitasking. That's just freakin awesome!

Your mileage may vary. but, I haven't heard of any major complaints of 6P's battery. It lasts quite long for most of the users.
Technically on single core performance SD 805 on N6 should perform better but on multiple core the 810 rules.
Also with doze, battery life has been significantly improved especially on N.

Now granted I'm rooted and I refused to data wipe my phone if I do I'm just going to go to a new phone and that's why I'm stuck on lollipop 5.1.1. I mean as far as the software improvements and upgrades and efficiencies go I haven't been upgraded in a year. I've heard such good things about doze and you and everyone else have been saying that the aggressive nature doze and I was in Android and his superb. I'm hoping for the best I'm just so sick and tired of this battery on this phone.

You should be fine with the 6P. :)
If I were in your shoes, I would try it out some friend's 6P for a day or too just to calm my nerves down!

Oh believe me I would if I knew someone that had a 6 P that even had marshmallow or Android and running it. Most of the people in my life either have the Samsung Galaxy phones or an iPhone. I'm the only one that has a Nexus device. I appreciate your feedback regarding a Nexus 6p and Android and it really does help. It makes a little bit more comforting to hear some realistic real world battery usage if you know what I mean. I mean people to watch all the YouTube reviews and battery stats on YouTube of a phone they want but it doesn't mean that your phone's going to really perform that way that Wi-Fi not cellular data; ton of other variables to include.
