AC Question

Hello, id like to ask you guys for a help because Ive bought my s6 edge recently and it seems like its getting out of power real quick. Like I think its not normal that fast. Id like to hear whether I shall put it back to the shop to let them know (exchange battery) or its good? Thanks for every help!

Can you join the forum and paste up your battery stats? I get good battery life out of mine. I make sure wifi is always off plus I have optimised my apps. In addition I use an app called Doze which has helped a lot. Greenify is supposed to be good too.

Thanks fo that. Considering the SOT, it's not bad, however under the battery section try optimizing apps. Don't optimize things like email or you will lose sync and certainly give Doze or Greenify a go. My battery life is pretty good using Doze

Isn't it suppose to keep on with battery life for whole day long? A friend of mine has sg sž edge as well and his battery life lasts sometimes for 2 days. As well as another friend who owns J5 has 2-3 days battery life but I do only for 8-10h and I got to keep on turning wifi off and things like that to save it. Shall I put it back or its normal?

And it seems like most of the battery is drained by the screen 40-50% Whys that?

That's pretty normal. The screen will usually by the top battery percentage user, since it requires proportionally more energy than other apps and components.

It would help to see some other battery stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

I just purchased a used S6 edge coming from a Note 7. Wow what a difference the battery is. I'm getting about 5.5 hrs with minimal usage. Never had to shut anything off or run any battery savings on the Note. Don't know if I can hold out with this phone long enough to get to the Note 8.

I don't know if this will help but I have a mophie battery case on my s6 edge. Altho I hardly ever have to activate it.
