Battery life when using just 4G

Got a Tbolt now. For how I use it, it runs all day on the Anker 1550ma replacement battery for me no problem when on WiFi or 3G. But God forbid I switch on the 4G. As you former Bolt owners know, it's dead within three hours max.

So, running exclusively 4G during a day, and medium usage (calls/texts/some YouTube videos/FB and Twitter reading/some GPS), will it make it from early AM until home without needing a recharge/battery swap? Or do you have to futz with all the same battery saving settings we've all learned from older phones just to make it through the day?

I'm leaning towards this as it's $100 at BB today (versus the Razr Maxx) but I don't want to get burned again with a dead phone/extra batteries just to use 4G like I should.

It doesn't have the battery life of the Razr Maxx, but it should be able to last the day with usage. meaning you should be able to make it i'd guess 8-10 hours before critical (15%) if you are concerned for the battery than i'd go with the Maxx. It mainly depends on how much and what you use the phone for.

You would be hard pressed to find a phone that competes with the maxx when talking about battery life or capacity. The GS3 is pretty efficient on power..you can easily go 12-16 hours off the charger with medium to heavy use on 4G (3-4 houds screen time)
I had a Tbolt and I remember how abysmal the battery life is...This is a HUGE improvment

On 4G i get about 10-12hrs of usage. 3-4hrs of screen on time. Im in a 2-3bar 4G area, not the greatest and it likes to bounce back to 3G a lot.
