Not real sure what people are complaining about. These are my battery stats for the day. 12 hours was while on LTE. The only time my N4 got better stats was while running a custom ROM/kernel.

I'm also pleasantly surprised. I think this device gets at least as good battery life as my GPE S4...if not slightly better. Based only on the last couple days use, I wouldn't be at all leery about using this as my workaday, go to device even despite it not having a removable battery.

I've gotten almost 7 hours on my S4, although it is on a custom ROM :p

Did you underclock the processor too, or just rely on the build of the ROM itself for the bump in battery life?

Not too bad. Im nearly 18 hours on battery and im down to 5%. I didnt charge it last night when I first got it. It was probably around 80% and then i started using it heavily at around 2pm. I downloaded alot of apps and was on LTE the whole time. I switched the auto-updates to wifi only.

Right now, I want to discharge it and then charge it fully but I'm waiting for it to die first. So just die already, haha. It's been 6 hours and its still got some life in battery lol. It's a perfect phone for you if you are using it between classes or at work. I'm happy with the purchase.

Nope just the stock ROM. I don't want to mess with any of the hardware. The screen time improves slightly but the biggest difference is the idle time. Haven't used my phone since about 1 PM today because I've been doing work around the house and watching movies on my PS3 and the phone has only drained 2% O_O

i honestly dont know why people are complaining about the n5's battery life. i heard average battery life i roughly in the 13-16 hours range and i think thats damn good enough for a 2300 battery. people, pls stop comparing this to the G2 and Note3. its not a ******* G2 or a Note3

THIS. People talk about needing ther phone to last them all day with heavy use, yet I can't use my phone for more than 2-3 hours a day on a normal day because of school and schoolwork lol. Only time I've used it for more than 5 hours in a day was because I forced myself to do it purely for testing out how long it will last haha

That's my battery life. All on LTE. It should last longer than this. Hopefully it gets better.

17 and a half hours after unplugging from the charger, I'm down to 48%. 2:40 screen-on time. Mostly been on LTE.

Not bad. :)

Can I get some clarification on battery life. I've never taken as much interest in a phone before and the reason I am now is I need/want to get back on android from iPhone and this is the only way from a money point of view that I can do it and still get a good phone. The nexus all seems fine for what I want, just need to convince myself battery will be comparable to the 4s , so all this talk of 12 to what ever hours with 3 to what ever screen time I presume is 3 hours of actual on screen usage within those 12 hours before battery charge and if so seems OK by me. HOPEFULLY.

Yes that is what it means and is enough IR you're a "normal" user, if you play games or are constantly surfing the web over LTE it might not be enough
