So I've heard a lot of reviews about the battery in this phone. Most of them bad, but that's not my experience. I've been getting 6 hours of SOT. Anyone else having similar results?

I've been getting great battery life compared to last gen phones, compared to this gen I'd say it's a bit below average.

Very happy to see Android phones are finally performing well out of the box.

I get near 6 hours of screen on time every day with around 15 percent left. The stand by battery life is insane too. I would say the battery life is great.

6 hours SOT is very good for a battery under 3000 mAh! Thank you for your review!

8 hours of work with 40 min of screen time and I only lost 12%. had a smartwatch connected the whole time as well. loving this phone

I've also been impressed by this phone's battery life. Those many reviews critical of the smaller battery size vs first generation were needlessly premature, did not take the Snapdragon 835 power efficiency into account. Real life performance is what matters.

Also, the reviews stating Z2 Force requires Mods for complete battery life or other flagship features are off-base. I don't anticipate ever owning any Mod, frankly. Wireless charging is now pretty pointless with USB-C fast charging. And 3 amp capable 10,000 mAh external power packs like Anker sells are a better option than any of the battery Mods, IMO, nearly same size and weight with triple the recharge capacity.

These positive sentiments on battery life are interesting. I had the original Moto Z Force and didn't think the battery life was good at all. And that was with a 3500 mAh battery. The 835 must be far more efficient than the 820.

I've heard really good things about 835 and battery life, for multiple phones. The new processor must be able to conserve battery or work more efficiently at doing so.

I'll have to check my SOT but I got the phone 17 days ago and after 8 hours at work, I'll have 50-65% battery and that includes 1-1.5 hours in the gym every morning streaming tunes to my BT connected headphones.
Overall, I am VERY impressed with the battery!

A great battery testimony!

I left the Moto z2 force to try the OnePlus 5t. i liked it but ultimately came back to the z2 force for the battery life. this phone is the most underrated phone of 2017.

I think you'll find that most of the complaints about the Z2 Force's battery we're done by people who reduce the battery to a single number and nothing else. Like other folks my real world experience tells me the Z2 Force's battery life is just fine thank you.

It's not quite as good as my G5 plus, but then no phone I have ever used came close to that beast.

So I’m thinking of getting this phone with my next Jump upgrade, but it’s literally hinging entirely on battery life right now.

Does anyone know how it compares to other phones?

So far in this thread it’s been G5 Plus > Z2 Force > OnePlus 5T. But how does it compare to the Galaxy S8+ or iPhone 8 Plus?

What I really need is an average battery life of 6 hours SOT and pretty decent standby time. Would the Z2 fit that bill?
