I just want to see/hear what you guys get on daily real world usage with the note 8. Coming from the note 5 people would make claims about 5+hour screen time but the only way that worked for me is when I'm at home all day. But commuting I would be lucky to get 3 1/2 SOT. With this note 8 I'm getting 5 to 7 hours without any power saving tricks. Phone is In high performance mode and everything is on. Also, my commute involves taking the train which has the phone searching for signal for quite some time. Here is a screenshot of today's use I was also listening to Pandora for 3 hours.

My battery life has been exceptional. Bluetooth, AOD, Wifi and high performance mode on all the time, location off. No package disabler on the phone.

Haven't been achieve nine anything like that. My low battery warning came on yesterday after 16 hours off charge. I check screen on time and it was only 2.35! Not sure why.

Android system is often second on the list for me. Does switching off location make a big difference? It's about the last thing I could think to try

Nope, location doesn't have any real impact unless something is tracking ur location.
