Battery Management & HD Widgets

I've been putting up a good fight with my battery management and HD Widgets since I got the phone and am at my wit's end today. HD Widgets keeps getting flagged for battery usage. I have added HD Widgets to apps that never fall asleep, yet every morning I get told to make it go to sleep because I have 1 app with high battery usage. I can't auto-run my device care optimization because it wants to put this beloved app to sleep EVERY TIME.

The app isn't draining my batteries. I consistently get 10+ hours of SOT every day. My battery is fine. This app isn't draining my battery and, for me, is 100% necessary. This is why I add it to apps that should never sleep.

Is there any other way to get HD Widgets to stop triggering this? I'm about to turn off the monitoring; however, if I do install an app that goes rogue and starts gobbling up battery, I would like to have a heads up. It's minor, it's not actually effecting usage, but dammit, I like to have 100% on my optimization and random nonsense notification trigger me.

I thought there was a choice in settings to not put a particular app to sleep so the phone then ignores what it does ?

There is. I've added HD Widgets to this list. That's exactly what is frustrating me. I want the app to be ignored. I've added it to this list. Yet, every single day I get an alert about high battery usage from HD Widgets and advised to put it to sleep. If I agree, it takes it off of this list and puts it to sleep. Then the widgets on my screen stop updating.

Turn off Adaptive Battery

I had that same problem with HD widgets on my note 10. Nothing would fix it. I had to stop using it.

Had the same issue. Changes settings in HD Widgets and haven't had the problem since.

Thank you. I'll try this setting change. I hate to turn off adaptive battery since I get really good battery life. I like HD Widgets, so I hate to uninstall it. I won't know until tomorrow if it works.

It makes sense those things happening with the screen off could make the battery usage monitors unhappy.

Whenever I get the message about battery usage, I change the battery setting for the app, and I don't get the message again. Try this:

Settings > Apps > HD Widgets > Battery. Set "Allow background activity" on, set "Optimize battery usage" to Not optimized.

It's looking like these setting changes have solved the problem. HD Widgets is still working without any issue. It's staying awake and the monitor isn't screaming about it. Thank you so much for your help. I know it was a minor issue, but I can't stand a nag notification of this sort.
