Hello everyone!
I just bought a Galaxy S3 and when I first turned on the phone, I let it discharge completely, then while charging the battery for the first time, I noticed that it got stuck at 96%, then started dropping down to 91%, so I unplugged it and notice that it started to go back up to 97%, but it just won't get to 100%
I've charged it 3 times now, both with the phone on and off and got the same result.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

No, this is a first for me. Are you charging it from a computer, the included AC charger, or some other charger?

If you're using the included charger, try using a different USB cable. And, although I doubt it will really accomplish anything, try pulling the battery, leaving it out for several minutes, and then rebooting.

If you know anyone else with an S3, ask to swap batteries for a day and see if it charges properly in their phone, or if their battery charges properly in yours. If all else fails, take it back where you bought it and ask them politely to give you a new phone. Or a least a new battery.

The last time I read about this, it was a rooted phone, they returned the phone to stock form and still the problem persisted. I believe it turned out to be a bad battery. I would try taking it back to the store you bought it from and run this by them. It does occur just not frequently.
