Battery or device?

Hi, the battery keeps dying. I have to charge it every couple of hours even without being used. Apparently it charges fast but it doesn't last. How do I know if it's the battery or the cell? Can I do anything to fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! You can remove the battery, lay it flat on a table, and try spinning it--if it spins freely, that means it's bulging in the middle and is therefore going bad. That definitely means you should replace it. But even if it isn't bulging, it's worth trying a new battery to see if the problem persists.
