Battery percentage incorrect after root

I have a Sprint One that I rooted about 2 weeks ago. The first day everything seemed fine, but most days after that the percentage on my battery just never seems right. More often than not it will get down to about 35% and then quickly jumped own to 19% and then within like 30 seconds after that it will just shut down. I have used tie the battery calibration app to hopefully remedy that, but even after that nothing really seems to have changed.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You may have a defective battery I would see if I could switch batteries with someone to at least eliminate that as a possibility

Um....there's no removable battery on the One. Can't quite do that

Oh sorry I forgot. Maybe unroot and srnd it in for repair. Htc I believe will replace the battery for free if it is defective

still on stock. Any recommendations on ROMs?

It seems to be getting worse too. I'm pretty sure that my phone was reading somewhere in the 60% + range and I just pulled it out of my pocket and it was dead.

Here's a screen shot of the most recent history. I have no idea what happened...it's showing it being "Awake" and "Screen On" constantly between like 2:15 and 3:00 which is definitely not the case. I've been sitting at my desk working. maybe popped it on once or twice to check for text messages.

Also on my boot loader screen it says *Tampered* if I unroot my phone (to possibly take it back to Best Buy) will the tampered label be removed? or will it always read that?

My rom of coarse. The tampered will be removed but it will say RELOCKED. If you are going to sprint ,they won't even look, and dont volunteer any info either. Have you installed any apps ? you might have a rouge app doing it.

yeah I definitely have installed some apps.. here's the last bunch, but honestly how do I even tell if any of these are the culprit. The bulk of the ones shown aren't even turned on. The only ones that I've really been using today were Mail, Messages, Words with Friends and Candy Crush.

Theres a app called battery stats. it will show you what is using your battery. you can have a app run in the background and keep your phone awake without you knowin it. some can cause a wakelock. what i would do is flash a rom and not install any of those apps for a few days to see if its still happening. the install 1 app at a time run it for awhile before installing another and see if you can pin point which could be causing it.
