I've seen alot of screen shots from users on the HTC One so thought I'd ask.. Can you see the actual battery % on the phone or do you gave to grab one of those apps from the play store?

There is a stock battery monitoring app. It doesn't give as much information as some of the play store apps. It also doesn't show a number on the status bar. To troubleshoot poor battery performance, or just to tweak it, the 3rd party apps help.

Gsam has a option you can choose to overlay the current icon with a battery with percent on it. Can't tell a difference since I've used it

Settings > Power > Show battery level

Settings > Power > Show battery level

Yea, with 4.3 it's baked in.

Yes. But, I'm not on 4.3 yet. Still on 4.2.2. Even this version has the battery percentage feature built-in.
