I got the thunderbolt this afternoon, and i charged it full before i turned it on and activated. Everything was normal, battery-wise, until i got to about 30 percent, at which time the battery stopped showing that it was decreasing (like, the image of the battery remained the same, and circle battery widget showed the same number, despite the phone being in use). So i rebooted, and it went from 30 to 19%, and i continued to use it (played games and browsed web to purposefully run down the battery) and again no loss in battery was displayed. So i repeated the process, rebooted and messed with the phone, and saw no drop in battery %.

I know this is the first day and charge cycle, but i've never had this happen before on a phone, so i was wondering if this has happened to anybody else, on a tbolt or otherwise, or if you might have any suggestions.

thanks!

I've read that it takes a few discharge-recharge cycles for the phone to correctly state the battery life. I haven't been able to find anything that states this definitively, but there seems to be quite a bit of anecdotal evidence. At least the fix is easy... see if it reports any more accurately in a day or two.
