Hey guys so my evo has frozen up on me a couple times(went to a black screen with no reaction to any button pushing) and the only way i could revive it was by pulling the battery and replacing it. Is there another way to reset it? Has this happened to anyone else? thanks everyone

I have had the same thing happen and believe pulling the battery is the only was to reset the device.

Also had the same problem a few times and had to pull the battery. Turned off live wallpaper and haven't had it since.

bummer.. hopefully this gets smoothed out I dont really want to have to open this thing up on a daily basis

I have powered down my EVO twice now. What bothered me is that even with a normal turn off I have to pull the battery to get it to turn back on.

I have the same problem at least half the time that I turn it off (maybe more like 75% of the time!). Mine is a Google IO device so I've been using it a couple weeks and I don't recall ever having any issue before the OTA update. I only power down once or twice a day (at night and occasionally when gmail stops sending - what's up with that?).
