Android Central Question

Hi,

I have a Samsung Note 8 smartphone and sometimes when I connect the phone to the charger the battery goes quickly down. I have to disconnect it fast or it reaches 0. After several attempts, it starts charging normally.

This has even happened once with wireless charging. Several months ago my 2-year-old nephew pushed the usb-c connector while it was connected to the phone and it bent. After that, the charging problems began happening from time to time, but now more often. Is it possible to fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! Is the USB-C pin in the port actually bent as well? It could be a problem with the battery or with the charging circuits. If you habitually let the battery drain to zero or near-zero, that can significantly reduce its lifespan. Either way, you may need to bring it to a repair shop.

If the phone is still under warranty, you can see if that would cover what's going on.
