Battery replacement options

I need to replace my battery, again. The first time I ordered a battery for it, I did so on Amazon, thinking I was getting a brand new factory OEM battery, however, it was definitely a second hand battery. The lasting power was worse than the original. I've put up with it for a while but I am looking again.

Does anybody have a good place to get a replacement battery for this phone? How can I know it's brand new, never used and not a second hand battery?

If it is shipped and sold by Amazon then you should be safe. If it is sold by a third party through Amazon then it might be a fake. Have you tried contacting htc directly?

It was sold by a third party through Amazon. Amazon themselves don't seem to sell any. They're all sold through third party vendors. I haven't tried through HTC directly yet.

I just contacted HTC and they do not have any. They told me to check with my provider or a third-party seller.

It's hard to believe you pay 700$ for a device and then 3 years later there's very limited options for purchasing parts for it.
