Battery Replacement?

Has anyone ever had Samsung replace a battery for them? How'd it go? If one is going to consider keeping their device for a while they may wish to have the battery replaced and I'm just curious if anyone has sent their device back to Samsung for a new battery...or if they've had a battery replaced at their local shop.

6 months is awful soon to need a battery. Warranty on the phone is one year so it would be free if needed already.

Oh no, I don't need one yet but I'm considering keeping mine until the Note 10, so I was just wondering.

A Sprint repair shop/store actually replaced the battery on my wife's Galaxy S6 edge last week because my wife complained about the battery not lasting as usual.
Makes sense since I got that phone when it launch back in 2015, than less than a year later I gave it to her when I got the GS7 edge.
But I guess it's not a good battery, my wife complains that it gets hot easily.

Didnt get a battery replaced; however, I got a phone replaced with them. Excellent experience on my end.

I got my wife's s7 edge battery replaced by Samsung service centre.. coz her battery after 1 year bloated and thru the back out...their job was very good and water resistant feature is still working great
