Is there a way to reset the battery without being rooted?

I believe the only way non rooted would be to do a FDR. There are many posts on battery calibration and they all seem to be inclusive with no definitive positive or negative findings. But I would believe that a FDR would wipe your battery stats and start you fresh.

anytime you charge to 100 percent your battery stats are reset. wiping or resetting battery stats is a practice that went out with froyo
