Battery Results out from Tom's Guide!!! S20 Ultra 👑 beats out the S21 Ultra

With a smaller display, losing features and a more efficient chip, you would expect better battery life. However, based on Tom's Guide, the S21 Ultra is worse than the S20 Ultra. What's going on? Another major disappointment in addition to gutting the phone of features. Sure the adaptaprive display is better but that's apples to oranges. If you want to set the settings to the maximum battery life, the S20 Ultra takes the crown.

Just so no one is misled, what Tom's Guide actually concludes is "Things look good for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which lands on our best phone battery life list". OP's comparison is like someone saying "I'm King because I'm 6'4" and you're only 6'3""--even though no one else is even trying to compete, and even if they were, they wouldn't care about that particular comparison.

Yeah but they are testing a S20 that has had updates to tweak battery life and s21 has not had yet.

No, I'm not a troll. But I am letting people and hopefully Samsung know the disappointment the S21 is. They copied Apple too much this year by cutting features and charger out of the equation.

I can't imagine many people owning more top Samsung phones since 2012 than I have. I've upgraded every year, sometimes twice a year between the Galaxys and Notes with the exception of the S6/Note 5 in 2015 for the same reasons I will boycott upgrading in 2021. Clearly I am not the only person unhappy with the phone getting gutted in 2021. The great thing is people can vote with their dollars. Time will tell if the S21 is a success or a flop. I predict it will be a flop. After all it's an overall downgrade.

It's very possible that if people boycott the S21 Samsung will bring features back in 2022 or even the Note 21. Who knows. I predict it will happen. Samsung is not Apple.
