Battery saver question Pixel XL

When I turn on battery saver, it seems to turn on regardless of the fact the battery is above 15%.

The orange battery saver top and bottom appear, which is not what I want to look at all day.

Now I do not really need the saver so I will leave it off and keep my Dark theme... But is this an issue for everyone?

Tap on the word 'battery saver" don't move the slider. It takes you to another settings menu.

Ok I got , leave it off and it will come on at 15%..

Thought the on/off was to get it to turn on at 15% I see now it will turn on at 15% even if it's off.

Yup the slider turns it on all the time.
