Battery Saving Tips?

I'm getting roughly 7 hours out of my phone with medium to heavy use. I'm new to Android in general so I was wondering are there any battery saving tips in general?

I notice there's ALOT of power management tools on this phone I guess included by ZTE.

How do I disable apps from running in the background? Any tips or advice for maximizing the battery on the Axon 7

With the 7.1.1 update, you can tweak each app with regarding on how to save battery. Go to Settings app->Power Manager->power management for apps.

Be careful installing apps. Some apps are awfully designed and will waste a lot of battery. I only install minimal amount of apps that I need. And have no problem for the phone last more than one day.

Is that screen on time? If so, it is pretty good.
