Our phones kick ass when it comes to battery life, so let's toot our own horns! Hopefully we can get our first Maxx sticky with this. Mods, please?

To make this a good comparison thread, try to be as accurate as possible, and described your usage as best you can. But, at the very least, give total time, screen brightness and on time, radio on times (Wifi, 4G, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth), phone Calls (length) and percentage left. For your apps, its tough getting exact times from the battery breakdown on the phone, so estimate as best you can. Just give any information that could help describe your battery life.

And feel free to do multiple posts to see if you can beat your previous bests. Keep it honest and civil!

I'd post my performance now, but I still have 40-50% battery left, so I'll wait til I'm ready to charge at around 20%.

I noticed quite a few people looking but nobody answering
feel bad for you might be too much work on this thread

16 hours off charge 015% battery life left

Funny thing is I just played with the battery life estimate over the last couple of days. I'm a light user and just pull up emails, check a few things and make/recieve a few calls. Spend an hour or so comparing apps with a friend.

I unplugged Monay morning so 100%
Tuesay morning----70%
Wensday morning---40%
Wensday evening---30% and went on the charger.

So about 60 hours of on time and normal usage to 30%. Actually fairly close to my BB 9530 so I have no complaints. A friend with a droid incredible has very deep battery envy.

I don't have any hard numbers at the moment, but I can compare with what my Tbolt was doing (just switched yesterday).

Phone off the charger around 6:30am. It's currently lunchtime and I'm at 80% with moderate to slighty heavy use. In the past with my Tbolt I would normally be pulling out my charger about now because I would be down to around 30%.

Fist time I got 37 hours with light use.

Charged it back up, I got 32 hours with moderate use.

Pretty impressive, at least to me. ;)

An interesting note:

Yesterday two of us played a round of golf using Skydroid. After 18 holes his battery was dead and mine is still at 60% dispite not going on the charger last night.

Is it normal if your battery goes from 100% to 99% when you take it off the charger?

Depends on how long it was on the charger before you took it off. Phones will "trickle charge" if they've been on the charger for a while after they've hit 100%, this is to protect the battery from damage. Sometimes the phone will drop a couple percent a little after coming off the charger but it's normal and nothing to worry about.

12h 47m on battery - 50% left

Display 31% (3h 37m on)
Android OS 19%
Wi-Fi 11%
Voice Calls 7%
Facebook 6%
FriendCaster 6%
Cell Standby 5%
Phone Idle 5%
9 Innings Baseball (Game) 4%
Weatherbug 4%

For me this battery is awesome.

This thread is going well!

I hit 49 hours and change the other day, albeit with relatively light use and about 90% on Wifi. The screen on time was over 4 hours though, so I was definitely using the phone.

Been off wifi alot yesterday and today, so I only got 30 hours on the last charge.

Here are the current stats:

9 hours
Wifi: 23% (was on 4G for 6 of the 9 hours, but kept wifi on)
Display 23% (1 hour, 10 min on...100%)
OS: 19%
Idle: 9%
Ringdroid: 7%
Standby: 5%
Maps, FourSquare, FB: All at 2%

Sitting at 80%, give or take. Not too shabby.

I'm glad to see this thread. I was looking for specifics. I actually didn't know those stats were there. LOL. Found mine in settings.
But they're for this morning only and I just took it off charger.
Yesterday was my first day out with mine and I intentionally challenged my battery life; screen on bright, data frequently auto checked with email and FB, prolly an hour talk, 30-40 texts...prolly 30 minutes of browse..I did use WIFI a lot, some 4 but mostly 3G as I was out and about.
And, I spent quite a bit of time downloading and updating apps, making folders...just moving in. lol.
But, it was off charger at 6 am and by 5 pm I was at 20% or so and back on charge.

Today...I've sat screen to Auto (I guess the A means auto on the toggle), wifi on, all push notifications off, no data check background, no location based smart assist, (still unsure if that'll help but trying).
Screen of 15 seconds (is that screen shut down graphic not downright Matrix-sexyish haha)
We'll see how today goes. It's good to tweak it early so we know. I'm amazed at these doods getting DAYS outta this phone. I just want to find out what to turn ON and OFF to get that if needed.
Again, thanks for the thread.

Had a 12 hour shift the other day. Unplugged at 6pm and didn't plug back in until 7pm the following day. I did plug into my car dock, so I can't tell you how much battery I had left, but I can tell you it never turned yellow.

Its not so much a matter of turning stuff off, but its in knowing what to use. If you can spend most of the day on wifi, that will help a lot. Moving your brightness from 100% to 75% will help as well. Voice calls are obviously big drainers as well, so mind your time with them. Active GPS can be as well (Navigation, maps, apps that constantly use GPS), so be careful what you're using there (Smart Actions DOES NOT use GPS, so don't worry there). Graphic-intensive and over-the-air games (WWF, Draw Something, etc) are big drainers too, so limit your time with them.

You can definitely get 24 hours, at least, out of this phone with barely any battery conservation efforts. Its just a matter of being aware of what you're doing and how its hitting the battery.
