Great to find a forum for the 7840, thanks all for your helpful posts so far.
I'm curious about the battery stats that you all experience - not battery life necessarily, but the report you get when you go through settings and click on the battery. I consistently show Android OS as the biggest consumer of whatever portion of the battery has been drained to that point, usually by a wide margin. While I've experienced this on other android devices (always some iteration of kitkat), the norm on most other devices seems to be "screen" topping the battery list with the OS further down, sometimes much further down.
I haven't put it through the ringer yet but the battery life seems in the range of what folks have reported. I haven't downloaded more than a couple news and reading apps and I do not show many wakes beyond those that match up with screen-time. Screen off, next to my bed overnight the battery drains around 1-2%, which seems good. All the same, its disconcerting to see 70-90% of the battery drain listed as the OS, even with 5-6 hours of screen time.
What are you seeing?
